Haha, the other day we were counting our change (which has been a bit of a task in itself because we went from Pounds Sterling to Euro and then back to the quid!), and David asked if I had one more 'pent'. He thought pence were 'pents' like 'cents!' Bless him. I did laugh lots though :). BUT it is a bit tricky because everyone says 'one pence,' but the actual coin says 'one penny' so it's no wonder we're confused :).
Today is the last day we will be making meals for the Shine Missions Team. There is an outreach event tonight that we'll be cleaning up and setting up before, and then taking it all down afterwards, and then re-cleaning it all for church on Sunday. We JUST finished washing all the bedding for the Exodus today--that took 6 days of solid loads. I kept wondering if the machines were going to crash on us, hehe! We'll be staying around there most of the day on Tuesday (the Slovakians' last day) to wash what we can of their/our bedding too. Working with this church has been so incredible and we thank the Lord every day for this sweet opportunity :).
Then on Tuesday we head to Coney's until the following Sunday. AND he just told us last night that he's fixed up two bikes for us! Praise Jesus, we have transportation! It's really been a huge blessing living at the Exodus for the week and a half because that saved us about $80 on bus fees! We might use the bikes to ride to the Giant's Causeway on a day that looks sunny.
I haven't been able to wear my contacts for the past 3 days because they're all blurry when I wear them, and I was getting headaches. It first occurred when I changed my contacts for the month, so I assumed I had just gotten faulty contacts; however, I threw those ones away after a couple days (ack, I know, I hate wasting them!), and put new ones in, and the same thing happened. So either I got a batch of junky ones (which my optomotrist told me happens from time to time), or my eyesight changed overnight. I doubt it's the latter, but I'm not really sure what to do... I know what my prescription is, and the numbers on the new contacts have been correct, so it's just very weird. I wouldn't mind so much, but my glasses are broken. Soo... I'm a blind fiend! Kari, I envy your new eyeballs! :). I'm just praying that God allows my eyes to be adjusted to the new contacts, at least until we get home and can figure it all out there.
When I sat down at the computer, there was a book here called 'The Rough Guide to Norway'... perhaps it is a sign??? LOL, we're not really sure what we'll be doing after early Sept, but we'll keep you updated! We miss you guys all so much, and we're thinking of and praying for you, too! Someone please tan for me, as I am unable to do that here due to lack of sun :). xo!
